Psalm 8

 O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

He Is the Worthy Lamb "God will provide Himself a lamb." Genesis 22:8  "Your lamb shall be without blemish." Exodus 12:5; 1 Peter 1:19   "He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter." Isaiah 53:7   "Behold the lamb of God." John 1:29   "Worthy is the lamb that was slain." Revelation 5:12  The last book of the Bible is "The Book of the Lamb." In it, Christ is spoken of more than twenty times, in different connections, as the Lamb. Promised as the divine Lamb, in the fullness of time, Christ was provided as the Lamb and John reminds us of how the vast angelic host, along with the living creatures and elders exalt His worthiness as God's Lamb. On the Good News of God

“…as to this “good news of God,” we see in our passage two great facts: First, that it is God’s good news . Mark this well! It was God who loved the world; it was God who sent His Son. Note our Lord’s continual insistence on this in the gospel of John (19 times!). Christ said constantly “I am not come of Myself, but My Father sent Me.” It is absolutely necessary that we keep fast in mind, as we read in Romans the awful facts about ourselves, that it is God who is leading us up to His own good news for bad sinners!
