Psalm 8

 O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

He Is the Worthy Lamb "God will provide Himself a lamb." Genesis 22:8  "Your lamb shall be without blemish." Exodus 12:5; 1 Peter 1:19   "He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter." Isaiah 53:7   "Behold the lamb of God." John 1:29   "Worthy is the lamb that was slain." Revelation 5:12  The last book of the Bible is "The Book of the Lamb." In it, Christ is spoken of more than twenty times, in different connections, as the Lamb. "The Bible Is As Tender Grass

   "My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distill as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass." Deuteronomy 32:2 "His word was in my tongue . . . as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain. " II Samuel 23 :2, 4 Here we have a striking symbol  drawn from nature of the refreshing and reviving influences of the Scriptures. What a promise of spiritual quickening there is in the truths of the Bible being able to revive and quicken our parched hearts and the dry, barren condition of the church, just as the continuous rain brings new life to fields and lawns! How we need these showers of blessing! Such a promise of blessing can be found in these verses-- "Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shall find it after many days" Ecclesiastes 11:1 "As the rain cometh down . . . watereth the earth . . . so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth."
